I am here to encourage and motivate you to believe that this does not have to be an inevitable part of aging! In my twenty years working with moving bodies, I have seen sixty year old bodies improve their movement so much that they feel better than when they were half that age! So what’s missing? From my perspective, I find that it’s generally a lack of knowledge and understanding of how the body works. My experience as a personal trainer has allowed me to gain a solid understanding of this and also how to work with bodies when pain or injury are present. You could call me an “anti-aging specialist”:)
I specialize in helping bodies move better- sounds simple right? But what if you’re dealing with an old injury? A joint replacement? Spinal surgery? There is still hope for you too! The key is in meeting the body at its starting point, and introducing movements in a progressive way that encourage it to open up and move again in areas that may have been restricted. Each month the focus is placed on a different part of the spine, shoulders, and/ or hips. These classes help to improve joint mobility, decrease stiffness & pain and improve posture.
ELDOA for Breath
Classes are designed to integrate myofascial stretching and ELDOA postures for the neck, shoulders, and upper thoracic spine to improve diaphragmatic function & breathing efficiency. These classes help decrease chronic tension in the neck & shoulders and leave you focused and energized.
Classes are designed to integrate strengthening of the hips, shoulders, and core with myofascial stretching and the ELDOA postures. These classes provide the perfect combination of strengthening & stretching to improve posture and core strength to improve overall movement capacity.
All classes are now recorded and can be purchased for future viewing if you are unable to attend in person.
